چکیده

Traditionally, surface and ground water resources have been managed as separate resources in Australia, with the result that interactions between the two components have not been duly considered in the development of management strategies. A more integrated approach is required to evaluate the impacts of groundwater extraction on streamflow regime, and eliminate the potential for over-allocation of resources due to doubleaccounting of the available resource. Models, which represent the exchanges of water between surface and ground water systems, are needed to inform integrated water resource management.

How To Account For Groundwater Exchanges In Rainfall-Runoff Models?

Rainfall-runoff models sometimes have to deal with hydrological systems for which the water balance cannot be closed without taking into account the relation between surface and groundwater. In this study we intend to clarify in which kind of situations surface hydrologists should worry about these relations. We also conduct a preliminary study about how underground exchanges could be integrate...

سنجش عملکرد مدل هیدرولوژیکی HEC-HMS برای حوزه‌های نیمه‌توزیعی و یکپارچه (مطالعه موردی: حوزه آبخیز کوه‌سوخته)

For modeling, the concept of the system and the system boundary is necessary.  The system is defined as a group of objects that in order to fulfill a specific purpose in the framework relationship or interdependence of regularly are interconnected. Systems rainfall - runoff from rainfall in the basin is started and after applying the types of losses (evaporation, infiltration, etc) it will beco...

J5.4 Use of Weather Radar with Lumped Parameter Hydrologic Models

Lumped parameter hydrologic models are frequently used for operational streamflow forecasting in the United States. With the deployment of the Weather Surveillance Radar 1988 Doppler (WSR88D), many hydrologists will use radar-rainfall data as input to these models. WSR-88D precipitation products can be used in a variety of ways (Shedd and Fulton, 1993; Lindsey, 1993). In this paper, we examine ...

SMA Based Continuous Hydrologic Simulation Of The Blue Nile

Continuous hydrologic models account for the soil moisture balance in the catchment over a long-term period. Different hydrologic physical processes such as: interception, surface depression storage, infiltration, soil storage, percolation, and groundwater storage should be considered in continuous hydrologic modeling. In this paper, the Hydrologic Modeling System (HMS) model was used for conti...

Rainfall-runoff modelling using artificial neural networks (ANNs): modelling and understanding

In recent years, artificial neural networks (ANNs) have become one of the most promising tools in order to model complex hydrological processes such as the rainfall-runoff process. In many studies, ANNs have demonstrated superior results compared to alternative methods. ANNs are able to map underlying relationship between input and output data without prior understanding of the process under in...
